Brooklyn said her first word tonight...and her first word was...MAMA!!!!!!
I'm soooo happy and sooooo excited! She has been saying it over and over all night! It's so amazing to hear my name come out of my sweet baby girl's mouth. I love her little voice, it's the cutest sound I've ever heard. I am absolutely giddy over this (in case you can't tell)! I have spent a lot of time lately wondering what Brooklyn's first word would be, what it would sound like to hear her talk, and whether she might say "mama." (I've been coaching her to say it!) So now I know what it sounds like and how it feels. And it's fabulous!

Yay!! Mama is the best word in the world... For a while, when they start to overuse it. But you've got a while for that.
Praise God for the good news you've been getting with Brooklyn's health. A healthy heart is wonderful news! I'm keeping you guys in my prayers though!!

That's awesome! My 18 month old still won't say Mama (she's all kinds of words, just not the one I want to hear the most).

Sure did have fun visiting w/ y'all this morning. Hope y'all decide to come back & visit again. But even if ya don't, I hope you find a church that fits you well. (but I sure hope it's ours!)
I've been completely absent from the blogging world for a while...and I return to find such momentous news on your blog! I'm so glad Brooklyn's heart is better, and her first word was Mama! That's wonderful.
Also she makes an adorable puppy. (Um, I must admit I thought it was a cow at first too.)
And can I just say how fabulous it was that your little iPod widget loaded Radiohead's "Street Spirit"? I love it.
