I hear you, baby

For the past couple of weeks, Brooklyn has been sleeping in her own room, in her own big girl crib, on her Tucker sling for about 5 or 6 hours each night. Since making this transition, I have been able to come up with one "positive" about her laryngomalacia. Because of her stridor, I can hear every breath she takes on the baby monitor. Which is good for a mama who has so much anxiety about her baby's breathing. I can hear her. She is breathing. She is doing fine in her big girl crib. I will know if anything goes wrong. I would know if she stopped breathing. Plus, I have gotten so used to hearing her stridor all night long, I'm not sure I would be able to sleep without hearing it.

Sorry about the Blair Witch Project-esque shakiness of this video. My dog wouldn't quit licking my arm. Ha.

I think I've heard that noise before.........LOL.

I totally agree that I am so used to the stridor now. (Can you believe we are saying that!?!?) I would worry without it. She breathes a lot like Ava when sleeping, a loud stridor/snore thing. I'm thinking of you guys!

Oh my! Poor little Brooklyn. I can't even begin to imagine the anxiety you felt and still feel from hearing that.

I'm glad she has transitioned into her crib well, because I know you need to get a "full" night's rest.

I am soooooooooooooooo happy that you're getting 5-6 hours of sleep every night! That is amazing, considering how little you've survived on every night for the past year. :::jumping up & down, all giddy & crazy:::

FIVE hours! Woo. HOO!!!! It [should] only get better from here. I am so happy the sling/crib thing is starting work. The hardest part about learning to sleep in their own room is getting started. Avelyn started at 5-6 in the crib and the rest with me. Now she's sleeping all night by herself. It is amazing and you WILL get there. Try not to stay up too late and get some sleep before she wakes up again. YAY Brooklyn!
