I was so jealous of her...that we struggled SO much with Claire and that we didn't have one "normal" day with her. And I felt cheated, and I still do. It took me years to let go of the tremendous guilt that I felt for bringing a sick baby into this world, but we ALL know, that it's not our fault - just that mommy in us all. I hope God, or whomever you look to, will guide you in the right direction for another miracle. My perinatal doctor says that a healthy second pregnancy is so healing, I'm hoping and praying for that. I wrote a book. Sorry, I just relate SO much.Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01543654519800360314noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7505095119232307325.post-75201454673992672862011-05-02T11:00:56.456-05:002011-05-02T11:00:56.456-05:00Liz, to answer your question, we have been told th...Liz, to answer your question, we have been told that her problems are NOT genetic in nature. I used to look for a way to blame myself for everything...that I did something wrong during the pregnancy even though I was so careful, or you know....just those constant fears that you have done things incorrectly or are making wrong decisions affecting her health. But her doctors have told us that her health problems, even though her respiratory condition was a "congenital anomaly" or birth defect, were not caused by any genetic factors or syndromes.

Sam, thank you. I hope so. Probably not as often as before...but I do think this is a good place for me :)Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09319187009235224171noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7505095119232307325.post-15455788272674250722011-05-02T01:18:26.812-05:002011-05-02T01:18:26.812-05:00Are you going to be writing again? There's no hard & fast evidence that any of Brooklyn's problems were genetic, is there? If not, go for it!Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01606570803094936934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7505095119232307325.post-27938994892243194722011-05-01T17:51:50.200-05:002011-05-01T17:51:50.200-05:00First, you posted! Avelyn didn't even have major medical problems and I was petrified to have another baby. You are not alone and you are a great mom to Brooklyn. If and when you finally feel "ready" you will make an amazing mom all over again. And hopefully everything will be smoother and you can just bask in the gorgeous scent of a perfect(ly healthy) baby. *Hugs*Jennifer Whttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02774629777975346838noreply@blogger.com
